Matt Budden and Matt Smith are the founders of WORTTTH. They are both qualified Chartered Accountants (SA) and have significant experience in the financial services industry across the globe. Most importantly, they are also great friends who place significant importance on relationships.

The Matts, as they are affectionately referred to, both completed undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in accounting and finance before completing a year of academic traineeship at their respective universities, the University of Cape Town and Rhodes University. They both have a love for education and this is apparent in their consulting.

Matt Smith spent the following two years in Audit before being selected as part of a specialized Transactional Services division where his focus was primarily on deal structuring and tax efficiencies. Matt moved to the fractional CFO firm, CleverProfits, in 2021 where he was elevated to the Director of the Advisory Division.

Matt Budden followed a similar path. He spent three years in Corporate Finance (Transactional Services) focused on valuations and deal advisory. Matt joined CleverProfits as an Account Manager and moved to the USA in 2022 where he was elevated to Chief Financial Officer of the global team which employed 50 people.

Matt Budden would say that Matt Smith is one of the best teachers, a mentor and leader and has an incredible gift for using his analytical ability to distil data and draw key insights and input in a way that is easy to understand and useful for business owners and entrepreneurs.
